This is my little space online. My space is anti-drama in the extreme, and if you bring drama into my world, you will be unceremoniously removed. I don't have time, energy nor patience for high school drama. That being said, here's a bit about me. My life is pretty simple, but happy. I am madly in love with the woman of my dreams, whom I've been with for more than 7 years now. We eloped in December 2005, and are currently in a holding pattern so to speak on planning the wedding of our dreams. We are the Mothers of the most wonderful 11 year old in the world. His love of life, his intellegence and his verve are something we adore, and he is the pride of our lives. We spend as much time with him as life will allow, and every moment with him is one I cherish. I am a snarky bitch... or at least can be, when properly provoked. I make no bones about the fact that I enjoy snark, I embrace snark and occationally I allow the snark to spill forth. I love snark in general... my therepist says I need to work on it, but hey, why change a good thing? I am a student who'd been working towards a degree in Alternative Medicine for 2 years, but due to a series of aweful events, have ended up starting my education again, unfortunatly. I am tea obsessed, and I am VERY picky about the quality of my tea, and I love to try new teas. I adore English teas mainly, but I'll try anything. I've tried many kinds of teas from all over the world, and it can easily be said that tea is a rather large part my life. A close second to my passion for tea is my passion for herbology. Someday I hope to have a HUGE herb garden where I can grow everything I could ever need for medicinals and my own personal enjoyment, and I'm hoping to re-open my apothicary and tea store soon. I am a Harry Potter fan. I adore the Harry Potter books, and am especially interested in the Marauders and Fred and George Weasley. I'm a proud Gryffindor, though I have been sorted a Hufflepuff in the past. I share this love with my family and we have tons of fun collecting Harry Potter items and generally playing and having fun with it. I collect dolls. I love dolls of various kinds. I have 22 Pullips, three 60cm Asian BJDs (many more to come) and several Tonners. The bulk of my Tonner dolls are villians from various fairy tales he's done or Harry Potter related. I enjoy my dolls, I love sewing for them and taking photos. I particularly love making historic and/or ethnic costumes for them, including Elizabethan, Victorian, French Revolution and kimonos. Dolls have been a life-long passion for me, but as tends to happen as we grow, my tastes have grown more expensive with age. My home tends to be a bit of a zoo. Between my two beautiful black kitties, Jinx and Soopy, my black Netherland Dwarf bunny Cedric, my partner's salamander Cy and the numerous plant "adoptions" that I can't resist when I'm in Home Depot, I have plants and animals all over the place. I rather enjoy it, since I grew up on a farm, but as of right now my balcony is a bit overgrown and looks a bit jungle-ish, but it's alright, I don't mind in the least. I love my garden and my pets and the little touch of chaos that they all bring into my life. And finally, I am a MAD football fan (the football the REST of the world plays, not American football!) I am both an English Premier League fan and an MLS fan. I am a supporter of the Chelsea football club, and the Colorado Rapids. I'm an obsessed fan and spend as much time as I possibly can watching it! A few things about adding me: 1. If bisexuality is a problem for you, please don't add me. I am happy in my life, and my lifestyle is not up for discussion. 2. I am very private about my religion, and my journal is a hate-free zone. I have friends of all beliefs and I enjoy that fact. 3. If you are militantly child-free, please don't add me. I have nothing against people who choose not to have children. I don't believe in anyone having children if they don't want them. But I am very happy to be a mother, and am looking forward to many more children. I talk about my child in my journal, and I'm not going to censor that for those who don't like it. And to be blunt, I don't enjoy reading people's anti-child crap. I don't mind the occational bitching about other people's unruly children, but if you're anti-child, don't bother adding me. 4. If you expect me to comment on every journal entry you write, don't bother adding me. I am VERY busy, and while I do read my friends' list daily, I generally will not comment unless I actually have something to say. I don't comment just to comment...and trust me, I won't be offended if you do the same. 5. If you're under the age of 18, I won't add you back. I'm 32 years old, and I really don't feel comfortable with someone below 18 age reading my journal. It's not that I say anything particularly racy, but I know as a mother, I wouldn't want my under-18 child reading a 32 year old's journal, no matter how innocent the content.
